Sitelinks on Facebook – All You Need to Know

Facebook recently introduced sitelinks that will enable you to add multiple landing pages to your ads.

That’s great news for advertisers, as previously we can use only one landing page in a single ad. Now you can highlight your main pages from the website on ads like services page, contact us page etc. These sitelinks will provide you more opportunities for people to learn more about your business.

These sitelinks will appear under the image or video on mobile feeds, and same as google, when someone clicks on ads, they will go to that specific page. This option is only available for ad placement on Facebook Feed.

How to Use Sitelinks?

Sitelinks option is available for Traffic, Engagement, Leads or Sales as your ad objective. (In case of a sale campaign, you need to disable the option of “Use a Catalog”. One more thing to remember is that your conversion location must be a website.

At the ads level, when you’ll put your landing page, suggested sitelinks will appear there dynamically. You can either remove those or add more links there (min 3 and max 20).

How to Check Reports of Sitelinks?

Unfortunately right now facebook has not defined the mechanism for reporting on these sitelinks but you can see the number of clicks by following steps.

Create custom conversions for each of sitelinks and add those in your ads manager reporting. In that way, you can see the number of clicks on those sitelinks.

Another way is to check from Google Analytics reports. Meta is now automatically adding the number of sitelinks clicked in the utm_source.
